Help the Stroke Association make their publications the best they can be!
19 January 2010
Are you caring for a stroke survivor? Have you been affected by stroke?.... If so, you may be interested in taking part in the Stroke Association’s reader panel.
The Stroke Association is the only UK wide charity dealing with stroke in people of all ages. Their work includes providing information to all of those affected by stroke, including carers. Every year they send out thousands of publications on a wide range of stroke related topics. They are currently looking for a representative sample of people to take part in a reader panel to provide feedback and advice on their written information publications and help them be really sure that they are meeting the needs of those affected by stroke.
As well as stroke survivors they are looking for carers to take part. This is a voluntary role requiring a minimum commitment of one year. Panel members will be sent a range of publications by post or email to read at regular intervals throughout the year and will be asked to provide a range of feedback, via a method appropriate to their needs.
If are interested in taking part you can express your interest and request a role description and application form by sending your name, address, email address and telephone number by email to info@stroke.org.uk or in writing to: Stroke Information Service, Stroke House, 240 City Road, London, EC1V 2PR
Large print versions can be provided on request. You can also read more and download the relevant forms from the Stroke Association website at www.stroke.org.uk/media_centre/news/reader_panel.html
Closing date for applications: 1 March 2010
The Stroke Association is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes all applications.
